Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi has issued a decision excluding individuals arriving in Kuwait on temporary or visitor visas from accessing healthcare services at public hospitals, specialist centers, and primary care centers.
The Ministry of Health confirmed that the move comes as part of efforts to direct resources and medical capacities towards citizens and residents covered by health insurance, thereby ensuring the sustainability of the healthcare system and maintaining the quality of services.

In a statement, the ministry emphasized that the decision is aligned with its comprehensive healthcare strategy, which focuses on achieving a balance between operational efficiency, rationalizing the provision of services, and ensuring they are directed to those entitled to them. The ministry added that the measure is expected to positively reflect on the overall quality of healthcare and enhance patient satisfaction.
