The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Fahd Al-Shurain, issued two decisions prohibiting Kuwaiti or foreign nationals from making payments to domestic help offices and exhibitions held in Kuwait. In this first decision, the Public Authority of Manpower and the Ministry of Commerce have ordered licensed companies and domestic help offices not to deal in cash when processing any contract or transaction. Payment should be debited from the customer's account through non-cash means approved by the Central Bank. Any establishment violating this rule will be shut down and investigation will continue. The second decision is that exhibitors participating in all types of exhibitions in Kuwait under the supervision of the Ministry of Commerce, whether from Kuwait or abroad, do not have to pay for any transactions.
