In light of the extreme summer temperatures, the Kuwait National Guard has issued an important warning to the public. Citizens are advised not to leave certain items in their vehicles, as they may pose significant safety risks.

Risks of Leaving Compressed Materials in Vehicles

Compressed materials, such as soft drinks, perfumes, and spray cans, are highly susceptible to explosion when exposed to high temperatures. The Kuwait National Guard emphasizes the danger of leaving these items in parked cars, as the intense heat can cause them to expand and potentially explode.

Hazardous Effects of Heat on Electronic Devices

The warning also extends to electronic devices, including mobile phones and batteries. High temperatures can cause these devices to overheat, leading to potential malfunctions or explosions. It is crucial to avoid leaving phones and mobile batteries inside vehicles to prevent these dangers.

Flammable Materials and Fire Risks

Additionally, the public is urged not to leave lighters, portable gas cylinders, or any other flammable materials in their cars. These items can ignite and cause fires, especially when left in a vehicle under direct sunlight. Glass and plastic water bottles can also pose a fire hazard by magnifying sunlight and igniting flammable materials inside the car.
