KUWAIT CITY, July 8: The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has issued a directive to several government agencies, urging them to provide “equivalency of educational certificates” for their Kuwaiti and expatriate employees who hold qualifications above high school level, including diplomas, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees. This request applies to qualifications obtained from January 1, 2000, to the present.


The Bureau has asked these agencies to submit the names and data of employees with higher academic qualifications, including eight key details: name, civil number, employer, a copy of the educational qualification, specialization, granting university, granting country, and equivalency of the qualification from higher education. This move follows previous coordination between the Commission and the Ministers of Education and Higher Education.

Simultaneously, the Ministry of Health continues to update its employees’ data and collect the required academic qualifications and documents. The Ministry has been receiving these documents since May and will continue to do so through its website until the end of July. All collected data will be submitted to the Civil Service Commission by August.

This initiative aims to ensure that all educational qualifications are properly verified and standardized across government agencies, enhancing the integrity and efficiency of the civil service.
