The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) announced the ban on outdoor labor work under direct sun from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm from Saturday, June 1 until the end of August, under the slogan “Their safety is more important.”

Acting Director General of PAM Marzouq Al-Otaibi affirmed that PAM’s inspection teams will follow up the implementation of the decision throughout a period of three months and will carry out surprise inspection campaigns on work sites to monitor and record any violations and take legal measures against violators. He explained that the decision aims to protect workers from the extreme heat during that period. Working outdoors under the sun during this time of the year is arduous due to the harsh climatic conditions.

The ban aims to regulate work and not reduce working hours in order to avoid any harm to the ongoing projects.
