The Public Authority for Manpower announced that it will soon start a skill test for technical workers as a condition for issuing a work permit. The test will be conducted in cooperation with the Public Authority for Applied Education.

The Authority said that under the directives of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, this step is part of implementing smart recruitment in the country.

A memorandum of understanding will be signed between PAM and Public Authority for Applied Education regarding holding practical and technical tests for skilled workers in the State of Kuwait. Successfully passing this test will be a precondition for issuing work permit.

Authorities expats these tests will help to raise the level of the technical workforce working in Kuwait in order to develop the labor market.
