The Ministry of Interior announced the launch of vehicle license renewal service through the unified government application "Sahl" app.

As a steps towards completing the process of digital transformation and digitizing services provided to the public, the Ministry of Interior started the vehicle renewal service through Sahel App.

Public can complete the Vehicle insurance from the website (beema.iru.gov.kw) and proceed to vehicle renewal steps on the Sahel App.

Once the vehicle passes the technical inspection check, the vehicle owner will receive updates via the “Sahl” application.


Renew your vehicle registration online in 6 simple steps

Starting from Tuesday, January 2nd, the Car registration renewal process is made online through the Sahel Application. According to latest update, an individual can renew the registration in a 6 simple steps, whereby the vehicle owners are exempted from going to insurance company offices and obtaining a paper copy of the ownership booklet.

The first step is to log in “online” to purchase the insurance policy, by entering the vehicle ownership data, and make the insurance payment online. (beema.iru.gov.kw - starting from Jan 2nd)

Once your insurance application is approved, you will receive a special “code”, confirming the validity of the insurance policy.

Next step is to visit any technical inspection departments in the governorates or private companies accredited by the General Traffic Department. Show the insurance policy code, after which the vehicle will be inspected to ensure the vehicle conditions.

Once the vehicle passes the technical inspection check, the vehicle owner will receive updates via the “Sahl” application.

User needs to pay the technical inspection fees of 2 dinars and 5 dinars stamp fee through online.

Upon completion of the technical inspection and payment, the vehicle owner can receive the registration paper on Sahel app, which is approved by the authorities, or can request for the printed document.
