The remittances by expatriates recorded a decrease during the second quarter of 2023. According to the balance of payments data issued by the Central Bank of Kuwait for the State of Kuwait, the total remittances by expatriates was about 1.168 billion dinars in the second quarter of 2023, a decrease of 5.6 percent from the first quarter of this year. During the first quarter of this year, the remittance was about KD 1.22 billion.

The figure shows that the second quarter of 2023 recorded a decrease by about 21.9 percent compared to its level in the second quarter of 2022 which was 1.495 billion dinars.
