Within 72 hours of making it mandatory to clear all pending electricity charges for all expatriates, the Ministry of Electricity Water (MEW) has collected an amount of 250,000 from expatriates and Gulf nationals departing the country.

This amount was collected through various channels including the customer service office at Kuwait Airport, as well as the multiple sector offices situated across Kuwait’s regions. Additionally, the Ministry has provided electronic payment options to facilitate the settlement of dues for those departing the country.

According to new rule, all departing expatriates must settle their dues with the Ministry of Electricity and Water before leaving the country. This integrated approach not only streamlines the payment process but also reinforces financial responsibility among those benefiting from the Ministry’s vital services.
