Major electronics and furniture companies are studying the possibility to stop selling items on installment, local Arabic media reported. This move came after the Minister of Commerce and Industry taken a decision not to increase the value of goods sold in installments over the value of the declared price. The minister of commerce and Industry also instructed to set a ceiling for installment sales at five thousand dinars to be paid in equal monthly installments within a period not exceeding 3 years.

According to report, these decision will affect the electronic and furniture companies negatively and the major companies in the country are discussing the possibility to stop installment sale.
