Despite the implementation of flexible working hours, there has been no change in the road congestion, in this situation, as part of finding a solution to the traffic jam, the Ministry of Home Affairs is preparing an elaborate plan aimed at withdrawing the driving licenses of around 3 lakh expatriates. The new move follows the proposal of Sheikh Talal Al-Khalid, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Defense. Part of the first step is to study the current status of driving licenses of all expatriates in the country and review all the information on them. Based on this, the ministry has formed a committee for this purpose. It is reported that the ministry may cancel the driving licenses of all expatriates who do not have a university degree and whose basic salary is less than 600 dinars. This decision, which will be implemented with retrospective effect, may revoke the driving licenses of around 3 lakh expatriates.
