Mohammad Al Jasim, a lawyer and Interpol recognized expert in international law enforcement cooperation, said that online fraud threats are increasing in various social media in the country with fake links. Scammers will use many methods to get people to these types of links. He said that there are online frauds where money is transferred within and outside the country which are dangerous and have big conspiracies. It added that if the money transfer is within the country, the defrauded person can file a case using the fraudster's username and the Cybercrime Department of Kuwait can trace the fraudsters by IP address. The department will contact the website owners to collect information about fraudsters. Bank money transfer scams can be very tricky. Jassim explained that if the transfer took place within local banks, the name of the bank account holder and the exact amount transferred can be traced.
