Kuwait City: From now on, work permits for expatriates in Kuwait are made only according to the work permit system based on educational qualifications. It is reported that the authorities have started the process for this. This aims to link the educational qualification of expatriates with the work permit for the post they are working. The Manpower Public Authority of the country is going to implement the new system for this purpose. Qualifications and Academic Certificates The eligibility of expatriates is checked under the leadership of the Occupational Safety Center of the Public Authority for Manpower. The new system ensures that expatriates working in each post have the educational qualifications to do that job. Implementation of the scheme can also prevent those without adequate educational qualifications from working in the respective posts. This project is being implemented to reduce the number of unskilled migrant workers in the country. Jobs in finance and banking are directly linked to educational qualifications. A system has also been provided for companies to check the qualifications of the candidates required by their organization through the Sahel application.
