1. Mechanic

Nature of work

Performs various skilled maintenance on aircraft. Assist and participate with other mechanics in removing, inspecting, repairing, replacing/reassembling aircraft components.

duties

Remove unwanted components, installations, etc. from the aircraft. Inspects the condition of such items and draws supervisor's attention to the nature of maintenance required.

Uses a variety of hand tools, including spanners, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc., to perform repairs as directed and to ensure repairs are done correctly.

Liaises with stores personnel to obtain supplies, materials, tools, test equipment, etc.

Components not removed from the aircraft are sent to salvage stores and serviceable components to receipt stores. Notify goods sent to suspect room to determine serviceability to be sent to salvage or receipt stores. Components keep record of allocated stores

Eligibility

Must be a Kuwaiti citizen.
Age should not exceed 28 years.
Must have completed Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering with 13 modules

2. Aviation Medicine Specialist

Nature of work

KAC provides routine medical treatment to flying staff. Diagnosis and treatment of common diseases include; Approve and approve miscellaneous requests, sick leave requests, recommended prescriptions, referrals, etc. Assist in the preparation of an aviation medical manual for flying crews and various reports for internal and external distribution. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory aviation agencies' standards. Issue flying medical licenses to flying crew and oversee fitness to fly for invalid passengers.

Flight crew are checked for fitness to fly and issued medical license to fly. KAC provides regular medical treatment to flying crew and related staff. Review results of tests and physical examinations, review initial diagnosis and recommended treatment, approve or determine effective treatment options for hematological, emergency respiratory, cardiology, orthopedic, ophthalmic, abdominal, dermatological, ear, nose, and throat. Determines whether cases should be referred to government or private hospitals, makes arrangements for referrals as needed, and determines sick leave eligibility or fitness to work.

Prepares various reports related to industrial injuries, accidents and statistics, monitors and directs the overall clinical activities of the laboratory and pharmacy, ensures that hospital work, equipment and facilities are adequately maintained in house or outside.

Drafts and implements medical standards and procedures for the Aviation Medicine Section, such as employment, periodic and termination inspections, routine inspections of employees handling food or those exposed to health hazards, and inspection of KAC catering facilities for compliance with hygiene standards.

Eligibility

6 years of experience in aviation related medical practice and acute medicine management.
B.Sc. Post Graduate Diploma in Medicine and Aviation Medicine is preferred.
Must be a Certified Aero-Medical Examiner.
3. Pharmacist

Nature of work

Manage and supervise the work of KAC Pharmacy. Administers prescribed medications to patients, dispenses medications and other pharmaceutical items, ensures adequate quantities and qualities, oversees preparation of doctor kits and first aid kits for aircraft and other locations at KAC.

Supervises the activities of designated personnel. Performs supervisory duties and exercises financial authority at the level established by management for the position.

Patients are usually given prescribed medications. Includes proper preparation of packaging, giving verbal and written instructions on proper use of medications.

.Ensures continuous supply of medicines and other ancillary items in consultation with the Medical Center Manager. Obtaining required quantities and qualities from Ministry of Public Health stores or private suppliers, preparing requisition forms and other related procedures. Stocks are monitored to avoid sudden drug shortages and ensure adequate and regular supply of various items. Follows the expiry dates of medicines and ensures that only valid ones are in stock.

Supervises the preparation of doctor kits, first aid kits and boxes. This includes ensuring that the kits or boxes conform to specified standards and certifying that the kit includes sufficient quantities of specified standard items.

Eligibility

5 years working experience as Pharmacist.
B.Sc. Degree in Pharmacy.
