KUWAIT CITY: Nissan xterra has stopped issuing new licenses to delivery vehicle companies in Kuwait. Also, the conditions for delivery vehicle companies that currently hold licenses have also been amended. The maximum number of vehicles for this type of establishment is 90. The notification was issued by the Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Al Khalid Al Sabah.

What are the main changes?

*Maximum number of vehicles in establishments is limited to 90
*These institutions should have a branch at a place where traffic is not obstructed to operate.
*Establishment should have at least one private car and 5 light private transport vehicles not exceeding two tonnes weight limit.
*The age of private car and light private transport vehicles should not exceed 3 years from the date of manufacture.
*Estimate the working life of the vehicle to be seven years from the date of manufacture
*Motorcycles should not be more than one year old from the date of manufacture.
*The driver of the vehicle must wear the uniform of the company or institution.
*Motorcycles must have a light reflective sticker on the box attached
*The driver must wear a helmet while riding the bike
*Motorcycles should not use ring roads and highways
