Kuwait City: Exam labs decided to conduct an aptitude and ability test before granting visas to expatriates in Kuwait. The plan is to conduct the first phase of the examination for the expatriates in their own country with the cooperation of the Kuwaiti embassies abroad. In the first phase, examinations will be conducted for 20 posts. The project is supervised by the Kuwait Manpower Public Authority. Discussions are currently going on for which posts such a requirement should be introduced in the first phase. Such eligibility tests will be held for specific posts. The exams will have two parts namely theoretical and practical. Practical examinations will be conducted after the expatriate arrives in Kuwait. Apart from this, a special center has been prepared under the Kuwait Society of Engineers to conduct examinations for 71 posts in the field of engineering. The center will start functioning once necessary approvals are obtained from the government agencies. In the first phase, the examination will be conducted for expatriates applying for new work permits. After this, an examination will also be conducted for those applying for renewal of permits.
