Officials have closed shops selling expired cosmetics. An Arab daily reported that a cosmetics store in Salmiya was closed by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry against commercial fraud. Expired cosmetics and hair dyes were seized in large quantities from the store. Security forces arrested the violators. According to the report, stickers and seals were placed on the products to extend the shelf life and the data of the goods and the country of origin were changed. The trade control team has prepared and maintained a list of seized goods and completed legal action against violators.
