The General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA) announced the successful operation of the first day of resumed flights by Arab and foreign airlines through Terminal 1 (T1) at Kuwait International Airport, following the terminal’s reopening under a phased operational plan.

In a statement, the DGCA said all flight operations proceeded smoothly and according to schedule, with no significant issues or obstacles reported. The authority attributed the successful restart to the high level of preparedness and close coordination among all entities operating at the airport.

The DGCA noted that effective cooperation between airport partners and operational teams played a key role in ensuring seamless procedures, efficient flight handling, and smooth passenger services.

The authority expressed its appreciation to all agencies, partners, and employees involved in the reopening, describing the achievement as a reflection of strong coordination and integration among the various stakeholders.

Looking ahead, the DGCA said it expects the number of airlines and flights operating through Terminal 1 to increase in the coming weeks in line with approved operational plans. The gradual expansion is expected to pave the way for the terminal’s full operation, enhancing service efficiency and improving the overall travel experience at Kuwait International Airport.
