KUWAIT CITY, May 5: Residents across parts of Kuwait reported feeling mild tremors on Tuesday at around 1.27 pm, sparking concern as authorities move to verify the source and magnitude of the shaking. As per Global seismic monitoring agencies reported that the earthquake registered a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter scale, occurring at a depth of 55 kilometers near Al Ahmadi.

Meanwhile, residents in Shuwaikh and Farwaniya reported that buildings shook lightly for about two seconds. No official statement from local authorities has yet been issued, and there are no immediate reports of damage or injuries. Officials are expected to release further details once seismic data is analyzed and the situation is fully assessed.

According to the UAE National Center of Meteorology, this is the location where the earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale was recorded in Kuwait.
