Job Opportunity for General Mechanic

Duties and Responsibilities:-

1. Assures proper operation of a wide variety of mechanical machines and device including pumps, engines, compressors, conveyors and laboratory equipment.

2. Performs basic electrical work by replacing faulty switches, sockets, plugs, fuses, breakers, insulators and other simple elements of electrical systems, fixtures and equipment.

3. Performs basic plumbing works by repairing existing plumbing and pipe lines, replacing washers in valves, installing plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, water heaters etc.

Knowledge/Skills:

1. Proven experience as mechanic.

2. Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components.

3. Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and safe working practices.

4. Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings.

5. Effective oral communication.

6. Excellent problem solving skills.

7. Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc) and precision measurement tools like calipers.

Education Requirement:

Minimum ITI

experience Range - Minimum 5 years and above.

experience Requirement:

1. Min of 5 years for ITI and 2/3 years for diploma holders in the same role within a construction or maintenance industry.

2. experience in maintenance industry is preferred.
