Programmer/ App Developers JD

Duties and responsibilities:

• Researching, designing, implementing and managing software programs

• Testing and evaluating new programs/ Apps

• Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications

• Writing and implementing efficient code

• Determining operational practicality

• Developing quality assurance procedures

• Deploying software tools, processes and metrics

• Maintaining and upgrading existing systems

• Working closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analysts

• Relevant experience with API's, UI/UX, coding, app development, website development, and support.

• Good in IT programming and has an in- depth knowledge of the different computer languages such as C++, Java, HTML, MySQL, PHP, Objective- C, and Wireless Networks.

• Closely with computer analysts and engineers in applying the various languages for creating and developing the mobile apps

• Create, maintain and implement the source code to develop mobile apps and programs that meet the company needs and requirements using the computer programming languages.

• Create clean interfaces and smooth interactions based on UI/UX designs and documentation for a range of devices, including mobiles, tablets and desktops.

• Create interactive web/mobile UIs using JavaScript Frameworks (e.g Angular, Ember, jQuery mobile, react)

• Perform cross- browser/device testing and optimization

• Create and build cross platform mobile applications using cross platform SDKs.

• Support, maintenance and ongoing development for existing applications and projects

• Unit- test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability

• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Job qualifications and requirements

• Relevant experience 2- 5 years in the same field.

• A degree and a technical background should be required to gain a Software Developer role. Degrees in the following subjects should be highlighted as particularly advantageous:

• Computer Science

• Computer Software Engineering

• Software Programming and Development

As well as formal qualifications, an App Developer / Programmer should highlight the following qualities:

• Knowledge and interest in computer systems and the latest technologies

• The ability to learn new technologies quickly

• An analytical mind

• The ability to communicate complex procedures to other colleagues

• Commercial and business awareness

• Good Communication Skills – both written and verbal

• Attention to detail and desire to probe further into data

Salary Range from KD 400 – KD 650 base to the experience
