Location: kuwait

We are looking to hire a Senior IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer.

This is a technical execution role, requiring direct involvement in infrastructure, network, security, and data center operations.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and support servers, virtualization platforms, and storage systems (SAN/NAS)
Administer and maintain backup systems (Veeam) and perform restore testing
Monitor data center operations (UPS, power, cooling, access control)
Perform patch management, OS upgrades, and capacity planning
Manage Cisco network infrastructure, including VLAN configuration
Administer VPN connectivity and secure remote access
Manage firewall policies and configurations (Fortinet / Palo Alto)
Support endpoint security (e.g., Sentinel One, CrowdStrike) and email security (e.g., Proofpoint)
Administer Active Directory, access control, and identity security
Perform basic vulnerability assessments and implement remediation actions
Manage domains, DNS, and SSL certificates
Ensure availability of core systems (servers, email, infrastructure services)
Support database environments (basic administration and vendor coordination)
Develop and maintain backup, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity plans
Perform backup validation and disaster recovery testing
Maintain infrastructure documentation (systems, network, DR, configurations)
Provide Level 2/3 technical support and coordinate with vendors when required

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field
4-8 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and systems engineering
Strong experience in:
Windows Server administration
Virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V)
Enterprise storage and backup solutions
Networking (switching, VLANs, VPNs)
IT security and firewall management
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and handle critical infrastructure issues
Strong communication skills and ability to perform under pressure
Required Hands-On Experience
Backup solutions (Veeam or equivalent)
Firewall administration (Fortinet / Palo Alto)
Active Directory management and hardening
Email systems and security integration
Infrastructure monitoring and operations
Certifications (Mandatory – Minimum Two)
Cisco CCNA
Fortinet NSE (or equivalent)
Microsoft Certification (Windows Server / Azure)
VMware VCP
