Inventory Controller
The Inventory Controller will be integral to our operations, ensuring accurate management of our lighting products and components. This role involves overseeing inventory levels, optimizing stock management, and collaborating with various departments to streamline processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in inventory management within the lighting or manufacturing sectors and a strong ability to analyze data for informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage inventory of lighting products, fixtures, and components to ensure optimal stock levels and availability.
Track inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to manage timely replenishment, avoiding stockouts and excess inventory
Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and recommend improvements to inventory management practices
regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and implement corrective measures as needed
Generate and present detailed inventory reports to management, focusing on key metrics, inventory turnover, and areas for improvement.
Work closely with procurement, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure effective communication and alignment regarding inventory needs and issues.
Utilize inventory management software to track inventory levels, manage orders, and oversee shipments of lighting products.
Receives, unpacks, and re-stocks items as necessary, labels shelves
Daily Tasks:
Update and maintain accurate inventory records in the management system, reflecting current stock levels and movements.
Review and process purchase orders and shipments related to lighting products.
Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to address inventory-related queries and resolve issues promptly.
Monitor inventory turnover rates and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Collaborate with the sales team to align inventory with sales forecasts, promotional activities, and customer demands.
Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure efficient handling, storage, and distribution of lighting products.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory control, preferably within the lighting or manufacturing industries
Proven ability to manage inventory systems and analyze data effectively
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Proficiency in inventory management software and tools
