National Express jo is seeking a Software Engineer with a strong foundation in software engineering and 1–3 years of professional experience to join our team and contribute to the development of modern, AI-enabled web and mobile applications.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Key Requirements

Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including:

Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

Data structures

Clean, maintainable, and scalable code

1–3 years of professional experience

Strong experience with Python

Backend development using Python (FastAPI, Django, or Flask)

Frontend development experience with React

Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs

Basic to intermediate knowledge of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities

Integrate AI models into web and mobile applications through APIs

Work with large datasets, including data cleaning, preprocessing, and transformation

Monitor model performance and continuously improve accuracy, scalability, and efficiency

Collaborate closely with software engineers to ensure seamless AI integration within applications

Ensure compliance with data privacy, security standards, and ethical AI principles

Nice to Have

Experience with SQL/Oracle databases

Familiarity with cloud platforms and deployment workflows

Experience working with AI APIs or production AI systems
