Job Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting management with financial analysis. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.


Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage general ledger entries, reconciliations, and closing processes.
• Monitor accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) activities.
• Handle bank reconciliations, payroll entries, and expense approvals.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in accordance with IFRS/GAAP.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Review and analyze expenditures, cost allocations, cost cutting and revenue reports.
• Prepare VAT returns, ensure compliance with local tax regulations (e.g., Kuwait Tax/VAT
If applicable).
• Support internal and external audits with required documentation.
• Improve internal controls, policies, and accounting processes.
• Train and support upcoming staff, junior accountant when required.


Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA preferred).
• Minimum 5–7 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and local financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Odoo ERP systems, Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks).
• Advanced skills in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial models).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail orientation.
