- Head of Engineering

Key responsibilities
Budget & cost control:
- Develop and manage the engineering division’s budget, ensuring all activities stay within approved targets.

- Track spending, forecast costs, and maintain accurate financial reporting.

Policies & procedures:
- Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with engineering policies and procedures.
- Ensure all activities adhere to company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.

Management activities:
- Direct all engineering division operations, establishing controls to optimize performance and minimize risk.
- Oversee project estimation, execution, and completion, ensuring quality, budget adherence, and timely delivery.

- Manage annual maintenance and purchasing activities to ensure cost efficiency and service quality.


- Evaluate and maintain an approved supplier list, monitor invoices, and ensure professional documentation.
- Ensure all activities comply with health and safety standards.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the direct manager.

People management:
- Prepare the division’s annual manpower plan and coordinate recruitment activities.
- Conduct performance appraisals, recommend salary adjustments, rewards, and promotions.
- Manage disciplinary actions and identify training needs to develop a professional workforce.

Qualifications & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (master’s preferred).
- 10–12 years of experience in engineering or related leadership roles.


- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and communication abilities.

Proficiency in English and Arabic.
- Strong business acumen and people management expertise.
