Compliance Officer
A leading company based in Kuwait is seeking a Compliance officer to ensure that company complies with its outside regulatory and legal requirements as well as internal policies and bylaws.
Main responsibilities:
-Develop and implement an effective legal compliance program.
-Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them.
-Draft and revise company policies.
-Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses.
-Evaluate business activities to assess compliance risk.
-Collaborate with external auditors when needed.
-Educate and train employees on regulations and industry practices.
-Keep abreast of internal standards and business goals.
-Development of a risk assessment framework
Requirements:
· 3-5 years of experience in similar field.
· Should be bilingual.
· Bachelor’s degree in any field.
· Strong numerical and analytical skills.
· Experience in risk management.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Knowledge of legal requirements and controls (e.g. Anti-Money Laundering, or AML).
· Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards.
· Integrity and professional ethics.
