Light Field Foodstuff Co is looking for a Sous Chef who works alongside Head Chef to manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staff, aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking. Provides meal quality and consistency by following designated recipes.
Sous Chef Duties & Responsibilities:
- Leads kitchen team in Head Chef's absence.
- Ensures & verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for
quality assurance.
- Provides guidance to junior kitchen staff members & give training to the new - Kitchen Staff according to the Kitchen Standards, including, but not
limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
- Supervises all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and
Kitchen standards.
- Keeps cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation
hours.
- Manages food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and minimizes
waste, plus works with existing systems to improve waste reduction and
manage budgetary concerns.
- Find way to Improve the efficiency of the operations which will benefits our
clients.
- Assist the Head chef in constantly finding ways to further improve the food
cost through strategic purchasing, without negatively affecting pre-
determined quality standards.
- Demonstrate understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures
relating to health, hygiene and fire life safety.
Requirements:
- Ability to work methodically & meet deadlines.
- Proven Experience in Food & Beverages Industry (Diet food) for about 4- 5
years is eligible to apply for this Position.
- The Candidate must have the ability to communicate in English, Arabic &
Hindi.
- Must have bachelor’s degree or a Diploma in Hotel Management.
